Well Being Walk

Come along to our wellbeing walk for an opportunity to meet your peers and spend time in a lovely outdoor environment!


Where? 

Clifton Park - Clifton Lane, Rotherham S65 2AA


When?

Wednesday 1-2pm (weekly)


Who can attend?

To attend the wellbeing walk you must be registered with a Rotherham GP Practice and either

  • An Autistic adults/ adult with ADHD age 16+ (diagnosed or on the pathway for assessment of autism/ADHD)

Or 

  • A parent or unpaid carer of an autistic person/ person with ADHD of any age (the person you are parent/ carer of must have a diagnosis, or be on the pathway for assessment of autism/ADHD)


We ask that you complete a registration form before attending our wellbeing walk. Please also ensure you read our terms and conditions before attending.

What Can I Expect?

We meet between the museum car park and museum building, opposite the gift shop entrance (see image) between 1pm and 1:15pm.

You will be met and greeted by peer support staff and volunteers who will make you feel welcomed and included.

Our peer supporters wear a lanyard like the one shown in this picture. We will be setting off at 1:15pm.

What should I bring?

What should I bring?

The walk will last no longer than an hour and we will be taking a leisurely pace. It is approximately a 1 mile walk on tarmac. There are toilets available halfway through the walk and a take-away cafe at the beginning and end of the walk. You are welcome to come along with another adult to support you, including a support worker, partner, family member or friend.
