The Children’s Disability Register is a confidential list of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and their families.

The register helps the Council and partners to plan what services, and support may be needed in their area for children and young people. The Children’s Disability Register also helps to improve a shared understanding between families of disabled children and the services those families use. Anyone who signs up to the register will receive a free Max Card (at the point any current card expires), which is a free discount card that allows families of children with additional needs or disabilities to get free or discounted admission to attractions across the UK.

Rotherham Parents Forum Ltd is currently pausing the distribution and sale of Max Cards and is no longer issuing them directly.

Rotherham residents may be eligible for a free Max Card by joining the Children's Disability Register (CDR) through Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.
