Our History

Rotherham Parents Forum Ltd is a charity led by parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and neuro-diverse adults. Founded in 2009, we began as a small group supporting each other through the challenges of isolation and navigating services. Today, we represent 1000s of local people, working in partnership with Health, Education, and Social Care to shape and improve the services that affect the lives of those with Autism, ADHD and SEND. 

Rotherham Parents Forum Limited was founded to provide a role in identifying and expressing the voice and experience of parents and carers of children and young people aged 0 to 25 around special educational needs and disability, and neuro-diverse adults. We ensure participation and engagement and provide information and support, whilst having a pivotal role in shaping the services received based on experience.
