WELCOME TO THE
PEER SUPPORT FOR AUTISTIC & ADHD PEOPLE,
AND THEIR FAMILIES.
The Autism & ADHD Peer Support Service is a brand new service formed from the joining of RPCF’s Family Peer Support, and the Rotherham Adult Neurodiversity Support Service (RANSS).
We offer Group Peer Support - which includes Focused Group Discussions and a chance to socialise - and 1 to 1 sessions with one of our Peer Support
Workers.
This service is funded by the NHS South Yorkshire ICB - Rotherham Place, and you are eligible to access our support if you:
AND ARE EITHER:
*Parent/carers of Autistic or ADHD people outside of the above age range are eligible to access our group peer support or social opportunities.
Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other. Our peer support team all have lived experience with Autism and/or ADHD, either as a neurodivergent adult, or a parent/ carer of a neurodivergent child/ young person and they will speak to you to find out more about you and what help we can offer you. It may involve sharing knowledge and/or personal experiences of neurodivergence or offering some direction to strategies that other neurodivergent individuals, or parents and carers have found useful. If the support that you require is outside our role as peer supporters, then we will direct you to other services and try to help you to access them if necessary.
